It's a hot summer day, and the day is going to be tiring. Since I am a teenage boy I have a lot of things to do. I have to wake up early to get water to bathe in which was like 2 miles away and I did not even get the right to go first. Then when I came back, I had to tend to my sick grandfather who had gotten sick on the journey from the East to the West and let me tell you that trip was something like nothing you will ever experience. The first couple days when we got to to our land were really rough for me. I had so much work to do and I got exhausted. We usually see some cowboys sometimes but other than that we were really lonely. We did not have any advanced farming machines so we had to do everything by hand and cattle and it really hurt my hands. We did not get any news around here so we did not know anything and everything that happened got us completely by surprise. Our soddie is somewhat terrible and we get rattlesnakes all the time and one almost bit me when I was trying to get it out. Speaking of rattlesnakes for some odd reason it was my responsibility to get them out so I think my mom and dad want me to get bit by the crazy snake. We also get a lot of bugs that come over every year and eat up all of our crops and then we would all be sitting there all sad. Then near the end of the year, in the winter time, all the crops would freeze and then you would think we have a break but really we still have a lot work to do and on top of that it gets really cold and we live in a soddie, not much to heat us up.
